Mathematics is an essential part of a child’s education. It shapes how we understand and gives meaning to the way things are designed and shaped, how to calculate amounts in various ways, and to perform many everyday tasks effectively and efficiently. MILC’s math curriculum gives students the tools to learn and grasp the fundamentals of math, and also provides them with the incentive to learn and solve mathematical problems and apply them to real-world scenarios independently. This curriculum builds upon the fundamentals of important skills, concepts, and processes that is taught at the lower levels of preschool and kindergarten.
Lifelong learning of math is built upon relation of these important skills and concepts, and so MILC strives to establish them in all students.
