Our school is divided into three sections:

From Monday to Thursday, Ontario curriculum subjects are taught from 8:15 a.m. to 1:20 p.m., with Qur’anic Studies (Tajweed, memorization Duas and Surahs) are being taught immediately thereafter from 1:20 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

On Friday, only the Ontario curriculum subjects are taught from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Hifz For Boys and Girls

From Monday to Thursday, Qur’anic Studies (Tajweed, memorization of Surahs and Duas) are taught from 8:15 a.m. to 1:20 p.m., with Ontario curriculum subjects being taught immediately thereafter from 1:20 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

On Friday, only the Qur’anic Studies (memorization, Dua, and Tajweed) are taught from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Evening Quran

Evening Quranic classes are held from Monday to Thursday in the evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It includes Quran Nazera with Tajweed, Duas and Islamic Studies.

At MILC, we teach a variety of subjects in accordance with the Ontario Elementary School Curriculum:

English

JK - Grade 8

The various sections of English are all taught with care and due diligence – spelling, phonics, writing, vocabulary, and reading and articulating.

Mathematics

JK - Grade 8

Each aspect of elementary math is taught without any overlooked concepts – basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), geometry, trigonometry, and more.

Science and Technology

JK - Grade 8

We cover all areas of science and technology – biology, chemistry, physical, and technological.

French

Grades 4-8

As a secondary language and the second primary language of Canada, French is taught from beginners and advances gradually, from word pronounciation to sentence construction.

Geography

Grades 7-8

Geography is taught on a broad scale in relation to science – the earth’s natural forces, weather, climate, soil, etc.

History

Grades 7-8

Canadian history is covered, from the arrival of Europeans to the formation of the country’s modern polticial foundation.

Social Studies

Grades 1-6

In social studies, students form a sense of Canadian identity, as well as understanding relationships between the environment and human community, the diversity of communities on a local, national, and global level.

JK - Grade 8

Proper pronounciation of Dua, understanding of Hadith, and the stories of the Prophets and Messengers of Allah are all covered in Islamic Studies.

JK - Grade 8

Qa’ida reading, proper articulation of Arabic (Tajweed), and memorization are covered in our Quranic classes.
