Schools may close in case of severe weather or storms at any time of year – most often during the winter months.
If the Peel District School Board publicly announces school closure, thean MILC will close as well. Check the News page for further confirmation.
In cases where MILC remains open, yet the weather is still harsh, take necessary action.
Drive safely. Try to plan your daily schedule to arrive on time to drop off your child, rather than scrambling with a difficult, restricted time slot.
Know your surrounding area and use alternate routes to bypass traffic where possible.
Please also ensure your child is properly and adequately dressed for the current weather conditions.
