Successful participation in the workplace and Canadian society at large requires a complete, in-depth understanding of the English language. Through MILC’s curriculum, students will be able to articulate fluently, write neatly, constructively, and creatively, as well as spell in the English language with skill, confidence, and self-management.
Recognizing and accepting the English language as an integral part of identity and communication is vital to securing a good future in Canada, and students will become informed and aware of the flexibility of English and how it can be used for many purposes, with diverse forms taken on to suit various audiences (poetry, essays, stories, etc.)
